in the toon launcher beta in the "readme.txt" i do not understand 2 things in this:


Its important that there are no sub-directories.
That means that it should look like this:

#InstallDir#DataAct1
#InstallDir#DataAct2
#InstallDir#DataBURST
#InstallDir#DataMISC
...


What is a sub directory

and where do u put this line in? :#InstallDir#DataAct1

can you show me what a screen shot of the contents in your toon launcher data file?

Thanks I can run toonstruck now

ok, i got my mum to use the loader, so i could give you some feedback on how easy the tool is to use. She ran it and installed it fine. But when it came to copying the discs to the installation folder she was clueless. May I suggest that the correct folder is opened at the end of the program OR there is an option to copy the discs in the launcher. She also had no idea about the shaders, what output to use etc, so maybe a basic with just a list like

Fullscreen
Smoother Graphics
Resolution (default to native resolution)
Output (with ddraw recommended for notebooks, opengl for desktops with pci cards etc)

Just the absolute basics.

Other than that she was impressed. She knew how difficult it used to be for me to run before i discovered dosbox.

We finished disc one in a couple of hours.

She bought it for me when i was about 5 and it we got as far as the robot but then we kept getting a blue screen of death. Everybody who bought it from toysrus had the same problem so the game had been recalled. That's when we got Normality ;D. Anywhoo... Yeah she loves the game. She just thinks the configuration could be easier. I was thinking a wizard similar to EPSXE for those of you who emulate PS1 games, with recommendations for shaders/resolution. Maybe a preview window (like the Barn?) that will show what the current settings will look like? I understand that this might be difficult. Just streaming out some ideas.

I'm not sure if this tread is still being checked, but it got my hopes up for this great game, when I found this site, I tried for many years to get this game to run with no luck.

I'm running on Win7 and I'm trying to get Toonstruck to run.

I installed the Configurator under D:games
D:gamesToon Launcher BETA

I've copied the files from cd 1 and 2 to the Data directory, and overwriting when asked, no sub directories.

But when I start the launcher and press play toonstruck The Dos Box windows comes up and says:
Toonstruck running
Illegal command: main.
C:>

during the mount of the drives in the Dos Box window I see the following also:
MSCDEX: mounted subdirectory: limited support
But I have copied the files directly from the cd's to the data folder, just thought I should mention it.

Hope someone can help with this, because I really wanna play this great game again
In the The Autoexce window in the launcher it says:
mount c "D:gamesToon Launcher BETAGame"
mount d "D:gamesToon Launcher BETAdata" -t cdrom

Hehe it was only because I could see this thread haven't been visited for a while

Silly me I have found the problem, it turns out I diden't run The Launcher as Admin, now it is working, thx again for making this launcher, Now I am able to expirience Toonstruck once again
