I have added a small comment on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toonstruck) regarding this project. Hopefully it will Generate some enthusiasm for the project and the text won't get deleted by some egomaniac Wikipedia editor. I may see if there is anything more to add to the Toonstruck entry on Wikipedia. I understand many of you speak German. Would you therefore do the same on the German Wikipedia page?
Actually, I just looked at the German Wikipedia page (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toonstruck). I can't understand it (I don't speak any German), but it looks very short and there is no picture or reference to this project. Any German speakers willing to edit the Wikipedia page?
Hey, thats great that this forum is in wikipedia now. And your right, the german version is very short, maybe it would be good advertising if we post it for example in german, russia wikipedia.
Yeah, that's probably the only success of my advertising campaign right now . I think I will focus more on reaching out to people you havn't already contacted . We should also have a dedicated youtube channel so that we can show our progress etc.
On Wikipedia, I have added two redirects to the Toonstruck 2 section of the Toonstruck page. When anyone on Wikipedia (en) searches for Toonstruck 2 or Toonstruck sequel, they will automatically be taken to the section of the page that talks about this website . I'll continue editing on Wikipedia and, if this project becomes big enough, I will create a page for it.
You're right, it would be good if someone takes on the same role for the German page too - I can't help there but the German speakers on this site all seem to speak good English, so they can just translate from the English page. Anyone up for it?

Well, okay I do it next days, step by step. My english isn't very good, but my translations are great -> teacher says so
Haha nice we can assign people who speak different languages as they join the project too. Is there anyone else in the forum who speaks a language fluently other than English and German? I speak Spanish, so I may write an article for Toonstruck in Spanish too.
i know that akulin fox speaks Russian and i can speak a little bit of french. but at first we need to get the article on the russian, german and english Wiki.
From past experience editing on Wikipedia, creating a new page would just get it instantly deleted since this project won't meet the notability guidelines. Until this project becomes big enough, our best bet is to just add a section on the Toonstruck (1) page and expand it as this project becomes more notable. On the English page, I have added just a small comment about this project and it has already been deleted 3 times, so creating a new page at this point would be almost impossible. Here are the steps that I think we should take:
1 - Use the English article on Toonstruck as a basis for other language and expand the other languages along side it. 2 - Create re-directs From "Toonstruck 2" and "Toonstruck sequel" that take people to our section on the Toonstruck page.
This is the code: #REDIRECT [[Toonstruck#Planned sequel]] - may be different on other languages.
3 - Slowly expand the section as the project gains momentum. 4 - Create a separate Toonstruck 2 page once the project becomes notable enough (ie when a beta version is released).
There have been three different IPs removing our section from the Toonstruck article. All of these IPs are registered in Germany and I see that they have been removing the section on the German article first, then the English. Baaaad people . Anyway, I just undid their revisions and sent them this message:
Please do not undo revisions such as you did to Toonstruck. This extra information is informative and can prove to be interesting to readers of the article.
If any of you need help with dealing with this sort of thing or power-hungry wiki admins, just ask and I'll give you some advice on what to write.
Also: Would any of you be opposed to having a facebook group? I ask since you may want to keep your real names, ages etc private. But If I have no objections, then I'll make one.
i think that this would be too much right now. But for advertising... hmmm... Don't know.
Since we have so much directions right now I think i will create an own Forum for Advertising. Furthermore I think that we have so many ways of advertising right now that we should make a list for the different sites and a team member who will be responsilbe for the site. what do you rhink about that idea?
Why don't we all play the same massively multiplayer online browser-based strategy game? We make an ally with information about the forum, we make grow the ally power end everybody will know about us (or almost). I propose Travian: http://www.travian.com
The idea of making a facebook group is great, have you made it yet Mikel_J?
