I'd never think something like that, trust me We all have the wish to get TS2. That's why we all are here. It's just that some of us think Keith's way is the right one and some don't. We should really get this discussion to an end and get back to work (at least those who are still interested), or we'll never get our Game
Post Scriptum: Sometimes I wished there was as much action in the DEV-related forums as in the off-topic ones
I hope it doesnt seem rude for me to talk about this, I am a toonstuck fan, I'm a fan of all FMV games, such as Phantasmagoria, Which is quite a lot like Toonstruck... those games are quite alike, not so much the plot or the basis, but the game secuencing where the characters movements and actions are video/animation and the rest is cutscene, thats the kind of game that I like, I'll admit... the first time I played Toonstruck I thought it was going to be a bit babyish...
I thought that, cause it was in a cartoon world... but I was wrong, its a brilliant game and Its unfair that the game stops and leaves you with a cliffhanger, I just think that the game, with minor tweaks, would be in a state to be sold... The next thing is my own opinion, it's what I think will happen, it doesnt mean it will happen...
If the game's "2nd part" was to be released, I firstly think that they would work on redoing the animation, not for only the second but the first part as well... They could do this by retracing the video with the character on it or IF they had the original footage without the animation (only bluescreen) they would work it out that way... I think they would also try to brighten, sharpen and try to remove the scanlines on Drew...
I also think that it wouldnt be called Toonstruck 2, but be called something like "Toonstruck Enchanced" and combine both games in one, if you understand what I mean... If not I will explain, I think they would get all the final edited stuff from both 1st and 2nd and "splice" them together to create one game... they might also need to shoot a video for when Drew re-enters the world, or that might of already been shot at the time the first released...
this is all my opinion on what I think would happen... I dont know if this will happen if there even is going to be a commerical re-released, but this is what I am hoping for... What do you guys think???
I just called my cat, Flux Wildly. It was a surfacing of a buried memory. I then told my girlfriend how much she would like Toonstruck if I could find it. I then found this place through a Facebook link. There is no way I'll be part of Facebook, but I'll cast my vote here. Add me to the list.
-> to make that clear: we are NOT(!) related to the petition!
They are using OUR adress to advertise the petition.
I already send an email to them in which i wrote that i want them to remove the link but they didnt react. i dont want to make a big thing out of it but its really upsetting.

I fully understand being repulsed by Facebook, but why the disdain for the Facebook petition? Is it not helping the cause? The way I understand this, there needs to be a buzz to motivate publishers. I found this site through the Facebook unrestricted page link. I was relieved there was someplace else to go . There are a lot of people who have found a place to live on Facebook. Having grown up with some, I think it might be a better life for them
The thing is that we are not related to this petition. We are a fan project that wants to create a toonstruck 2 which is created by the fans for the fans. We dont want to motivate any publishers because I think that if toonstruck 2 is created only for commercial success, it will never be as good as the toonstruck 2 we would like to see. I know that we are only amateurs and will never get the quality that the big companies can achieve but we are fans and we stay to the concept toonstruck had. we wouldn't change it just to make money in today's 3D HD TV Extra Super Quality Directx obsessed world.
I guess I should have read about the forum before I posted here . I thought this was a support project for Keith Arem. I thought there would be people here offering to be on his crew to make Toonstruck compatible with modern OS, and to help piece together the remaining footage, animation, and sound. I'd welcome a commercial expanded re-release of a classic.
I appear to be at the wrong forum. I'll get my hat.
You dont have to take your hat. I understand that you think you are in the wrong forum but hey what do you want? Discuss about Toonstruck / TOonstruck2 or just sign a peititon? i mean i dont see our project as the opposite side of the medal. i just think that its another way of getting to our goal.
Haha, that Facebook-group is somewhat hillarious! Somebody was talking about a Remake of TS1 being developed and then I read Post#24:
"Please Please Please people buy as many copies as you can from wherever they decide to put it get friends and family to help out the more sales it makes the more the fanbase increase and the more chance that TS 2 will happen."
This is how the first part will end up. Enough said.
