i think thats its clear that we have to use the desert background as our first screen.
we need to connect the first toonstruck game with our one. so i think that it would be great to give the fans something they already know.

i don't like it because:

- The film grain wasn't in Toonstruck
- the outlines of the objects don't fit the toonstruck style

I don't see the nesessity to redraw objects and change their positions (like turning the sign from the right to the left). I think it would probably be better to use the existing BG's with some plot-related changes (like adding new characters or redrawing some buildings).

Yeah sure we need to take the existing backgrounds we already have... and of course the desert background shouldn't be redrawn ^^.

BUT: We want to build a new game and not just change some BGs from toonstruck 1 and sell it as Toonstruck 2.

I think that we should use only those backgrounds from Toonstruck 1 that would fit in our story and not like redraw the city of cutopia and name it something else to get a new city...
In Toonstruck 2 we need to get the ideas of the Toonstruck Fans together and that is what will make the game.

So to make it clear:
- don't change existing Backgrounds and sell them as "new"
- use the original Backgrounds and just try to restaurate them (that means: get a Background without Flux and Drew, and perhaps get a higher resolution of it).

i didn't say it is new ! , i said it is only got few changes.

I agree with you that it may doesn't fit as a toonstruck, but i really had some fun doing it

the outlines always makes the cartoon better...but since there wasn't outlines on the objects in toonstruck i wont do it because i will be then a "Style changer" since the art work shouldn't be changed.

but i have a qyuestion: do you want to leave the classic pictures as it is? , i mean it's not in high quality.

yeah thats the only problem we have... perhaps we could leave the old pictures as they are and live with the low resolution... or we could try to get them in High quality somehow... that would be a hard job but perhaps it can be done....

That's the best quality extracted from dosbox, if you fit it to the screen it still looks good.
But it would need some changes as said: the vulture should be dead or shouldn't be, the sign souldn't be, the vultures flying in the mountains should be converted to an animation, and the drew's bag... we will decide. And the other changes that the plot requires, of course.
