DNEY Authentic Robert Nkemdiche Jersey , July 13 (Xinhua) -- Sea World on Australia's Gold Coast has announced on Thursday that the polar bear cub recently born at the popular aquatic tourist attraction is a girl, and has called on the public to give her a name.


The 10 week old cub has been under the care of her mother Liya, in a den within the polar bear exhibit, and will officially be introduced to the public in September this year.


The park has called on the public to participate in the naming process by voting on a selected group of names that have been preselected for her, all being of Arctic origins.


The names to choose from are "Arina," meaning peace in Russian Authentic Budda Baker Jersey , "Katya," which means pure, also in Russian, "Mishka," which is little bear in Inuit, or "Nukka Authentic Haason Reddick Jersey ," Inuit for little sister.


The joy of the announcement is tempered somewhat as this cub was one of two born at the same time to Liya. The older one died in May.


This however is not an uncommon occurrence, and the director of marine sciences at Sea World, Trevor Long, said at the time that the mother of the cub had stopped providing her milk to one of the cubs.


"(In) 2013, Liya had two cubs and she raised them both for 12 hours, then abandoned one cub Authentic Chase Edmonds Jersey , and chose to raise one cub," Long said.


At the time of the cubs' birth back in May, a spokesperson at Sea World spoke of the love triangle that existed between Liya, and two other male polar bears at the theme park.


"She had access to both our male polar bears at Sea World - Hudson, and Nelson - and we couldn't tell that she was pregnant," the spokesperson said.


The yet to be unnamed cub is a half brother of another male cub born at Sea World Authentic Mason Cole Jersey , called Henry, who has now been sent to Canada to participate in a long term international breeding program.
