" DUBLIN Cheap Aldrick Rosas Jersey , Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The first half of 2017 has proven to be a dynamic period for Ireland's merger and acquisition market, with the deals having a combined value of 8.2 billion euros, according to a report from a law firm on Thursday.
The report published by the Dublin-based William Fry law firm showed there were 60 mergers and acquisitions involving Irish companies in the first half of the year.
The report also showed private equity activity has gathered momentum in the first half of the year, with 18 transactions worth 7.5 billion euros, representing the highest H1 figure on record.
The financial services sector saw the bulk of deal value during H1 with 7.1 billion euros spent across seven deals, according to the report.
However, the majority of this figure was associated with one deal, Dubai Aerospace's 6.9 billion-euro acquisition of Dublin-based AWAS Aviation Capital, the report said.
Shane O' Donnell, head of William Fry's Corporate Department, said Ireland continues to be one of the strongest performers in Europe in the foreign direct investment sector despite geopolitical uncertainty instigated by Brexit and the U.S. presidential election.
But he said the ongoing period of uncertainty between the European Union and and the United Kingdom poses the greatest risk to dealmaking in 2017 and beyond.
Volatility will inevitably cause some dealmakers to put transactions on hold until a clearer picture emerge, O' Donnell said.
""In response to this changing deal climate, it is essential that Ireland focuses on further enhancing its competitiveness to ensure it can capitalise on investment at both a domestic and international level,"" he said.

" As we all know by now skateboarding was not a recognized sort when it first began, which is when the metal wheels were made. This was understandable at first since all one could do was roll forward on a skateboard and try not to fall down. For that same reason though nobody really put much effort into skate shoes that offered the support that the skateboarders needed. Not even Nike bothered with skateboarders until it became a popular sport that more than just teens enjoyed.
It wasn?t until sometime in the 1980s that any shoe companies started making skate shoes to target skate boarders. Even then Nike didn?t make Nike skate shoes. It was companies like Airwalk and other smaller companies that worked to make skate shoes for the small sport. However, that doesn?t mean that skateboarders didn?t buy Nike shoes.
Despite the fact that Nike was not yet making their Nike skate shoe line, skate boarders liked using their shoes, especially sport shoes like their basketball shoes. These were what skateboarders used as Nike skate shoes because offered the support that they needed while they were skating. They had the strong grips that were needed, the ankle support, they were fairly comfortable, and most importantly they were made with the durability that the skateboarders needed as their skate shoes in order to perform at their best.
Despite the fact that Nike basketball shoes were good shoes to use as Nike skate shoes many of the skateboarders back then would often reject the idea of using Nike for no reason other than the fact that they were just way to commercial and the skateboarding was supposed to be an underground sport that few people took part in, and most of those people happened to be teenagers.
It wasn?t until the 1990s when skate shoes had already become technical and popular that Nike sent their first Nike skate shoe design out for the public. This rudimentary design failed miserably. It failed because Nike failed to realize just how advanced the other companies had made the skate shoes even though for the most part they were smaller companies than Nike, at least up until this point. By the time they had decided to release their design the technical designs had been the rage, and Nike had to work to adjust the Nike skate shoes to what the other companies where selling.
You will find that today the rage is moving away from the technical designs that were once so very popular in skate shoes are now going out of style, and Nike skate shoes are adjusting easily to this. Because Nike already has some Nike skate shoes that are in the punk-rock style that many skateboarders today are looking for since it reflects the look of the 1970s. Nike?s transition to their new Nike skate shoe look is occurring so easily today because in the late 1990s when the fashion trend started they were able to experiment by re-issuing some of the earlier skate shoe models that they had.
