Lions fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.Last week, our FanPulse surveys debuted and Detroit Lions fans seemed cautiously optimistic about the 2018 season. 68 percent of polled fans were confident in the direction of the team. While some had been shaken by the poor preseason performance from Matt Patricia’s crew, the majority of fans still believed the Lions’ trajectory was headed upwards. Then Monday night happened:How confident are you in the direction of the team? Last week: 68 percent confidenceLions fans have quickly jumped ship with many already wondering if firing Jim Caldwell was the right thing to do. Rumors are floating that some veteran players are unhappy with Patricia’s methods, and general manager Bob Quinn is also facing a ton of criticism. As a result, fan confidence has dropped more than half in just one week. Last week, 68 percent of fans were confident in the direction of the team. That number is now just 32 percent. Additionally, only 11 percent were “not very confident” or “not confident prior to Monday. That number has nearly tripled to 31 percent. He may or may not have lost some players in the locker room, but it’s abundantly clear Matt Patricia has lost some fans in just one week. Will the Lions win or lose in Week 2?Odds: 49ers are 7-point favoritesNiners Nation FanPulse: 49ers by 7Pride Of Detroit FanPulse: Lions by 1Interestingly enough, despite the clear lack in confidence Youth Matthew Stafford Jersey , Lions fans are still, on average, picking them to pull off a pretty significant upset on the road this week against the San Francisco 49ers. Vegas’ odds have skyrocketed to favor the 49ers by a touchdown, and while our friends at Niners Nation think that’s about right, Lions fans still think Detroit will move to 1-1.Other than QB, what is most valuable to an NFL offense? Our national poll this week deals with the most important non-quarterback position on offense. Considering how much we’ve seen Matthew Stafford get beat up over his entire career, I’m guessing most Lions fans are with the majority here. Left tackle beat the field by a large margin, and NFL general managers seem to agree. In general, teams are willing to pay left tackles and wide receivers more than any other offensive position outside of quarterback. Week 6 has a chance to be drastically important for all the teams in the NFC North. While the Detroit Lions have the week off, the other three teams are in action this week, and the future of the division may depend on how each team performs. No teams has it particularly hard http://www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com/devon-kennard-jersey-authentic , as the Bears take on the Dolphins, the Vikings host the Cardinals, and the Packers face off against the 49ers on Monday night. But given how each team has played thus far, an upset is not out of the question. And with how tight the division has been through five weeks, one slip-up by a team could end up costing them the NFC North title. So with this week in mind—and the 11 weeks that lie ahead—let’s reset our expectations. Today’s Question of the Day is:How do you think the NFC North will play out in 2018?My answer: This is an extremely tough question, because I can see pretty much any team winning this division, but I can also make a good argument for any team finishing last. Each team is so very clearly flawed, but each has a strength good enough to carry them the entire way. The Packers have Aaron Rodgers, the Bears have arguably the best defense in the league, the Vikings have the strongest roster (if it ever gets healthy enough), and the Lions’ offensive line makes them the most balanced offense in the division. But Youth LeGarrette Blount Jersey , ultimately, I tend to fall back on the team’s biggest weaknesses to predict how things will fall. The most well-rounded team is the Vikings, and while their offensive line will continue to give them problems, but we’ve seen that offense keep its head above water with poor talent on the front five before. The Lions, on the other hand, have shown little progress on the defensive side of the ball, and it’s going to frustrate the team and its fans all year. So here are my predicted final standings:1. Vikings2. Bears3. Packers4. LionsYour turn.Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage
