" NEW DELHI Black Rasul Douglas Jersey , Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a garment godown in Dharavi, India's largest slum, in financial capital Mumbai Friday, police said.
There have been no reports of casualty or major damage to properties so far, a police official said.
""The fire started at one of the rooms of the two-storey garment godown in Dharavi Transit this morning. Soon it engulfed parts of the building,"" he said.
Some eight fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the blaze under control, the official said. ""Only parts of the godown have been gutted in the fire,"" he added.
Though an electrical short-circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the fire, a probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause, the official said.
Dharavi, home to 700,000 people, is not only India's largest slum, but also one of the largest in the world.
Last year, more than 150 hutments and godowns were gutted in a massive fire in Dharavi's Premnagar slum quarter.

Home insurance is probably one of the most important policies you will ever take out; it can also be one of the most stressful, safeguarding one of your largest financial and emotional investments or assets. You can expect to be overwhelmed by many insurance companies trumpeting their competitive premiums and in this situation, if you are looking for the cheapest insurance policy, you will have to keep a cool head and to meticulously analyze all of the quotes you are offered, or you face the reality of getting only what you pay for.
Home insurance, or homeowners insurance as it is also known, refers to a property specific type of insurance, providing coverage for your dwelling. Insurance companies offer a variety of home insurance policies, each with their own advantages that are specific to your requirements. These policies vary from insurer to insurer providing different policy coverage at competitive premiums.
Home insurance, or homeowners insurance, generally includes various components such as: “Coverage for the Building”, “Coverage for Contents”, “LegalPublic Liability”, “Personal Itemsvaluables”. The first component covers damage caused by storm, fire, earthquake or any other form of disaster that is mentioned in your insurance policy. The second component covers the cost of replacement or market value of the contents lost as a result of a disaster or a burglary. The third part will cover you in respect to bodily injury or property damage to a third party should you be found to be negligent. The other component mentioned covers the cost of replacement or market value of your personal items or valuables lost or damaged, in most cases whilst you are away from home.
Some of the mistakes that homeowners make when taking out a home insurance policy include, but are not limited to, the following: not adequately reading and understanding the insurance policy, a mistake that causes you to believe that you are adequately insured for situations that in reality are not covered; the avoidance of asking questions subsequent to reading the policy, a mistake that may cause misunderstandings; thinking you are covered for flood; forgetting to update your policy at your annual renewal.Watch out for overly competitive premiums when signing your home insurance! They may be a clear indicator that at some point in the future, when an unpredictable situation will occur, you may find yourself in the unpleasant situation of not being fully covered for something you assumed it falls under the policy’s coverage.
