WASHINGTON Nike Epic React Womens Green , July 21 (Xinhua) -- White House Press Secretary SeanSpicer resigned Friday, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trumpappointed New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as the new WhiteHouse communications director.


Spicer stepped down after telling President Trump he stronglydisagreed with Scaramucci's appointment, U.S. media outletsreported.


"It's been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS@realDonaldTrump & this amazing country," Spicer tweeted aftermultiple U.S. news outlets broke the news of his abruptresignation.

According to media reports, Spicer, along with his ally Chief ofStaff Reince Priebus, believed Scaramucci lacked the qualificationfor the post that he was offered.

In the White House daily briefing on Friday, Scaramucciannounced that Principle Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Sanders willreplace Spicer.

Scaramucci also downplayed reports saying that he has had atense and fraught relationship with both Spicer and Priebus, saying"I don't have any friction with Sean. I don't have any frictionwith Reince."

It is yet unclear what Spicer will pursue next. The 45-year-oldhas served as the communications director of the RepublicanNational Committee and enjoyed some level of recognition within theconservative group.

BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) Wednesday continued its orange alert for Typhoon Talim, which could intensify to a super typhoon and is likely to hit China's southeastern coast Thursday or Friday.

The NMC forecast that Talim would move northwest at a speed of 20 km per hour toward the coast of Zhejiang.

It is possible that Talim will move north in waters near Zhejiang Friday and then turn northeast.
