BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- China is continuing to observe events following the death of Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) top leader Kim Jong Un, a foreign ministry spokesperson said Thursday.
"We are aware of relevant reports and will continue to keep an eye on any developments," spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a daily press briefing when asked about the murder of Kim in Malaysia.
The DPRK Embassy in Malaysia confirmed that a 46-year-old man holding a DPRK passport under the name Kim Chol was Kim Jong Nam, according to local reports that quoted Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Kim requested help at Kuala Lumpur International Airport terminal two after feeling unwell on Monday. He died on the way to hospital.
Malaysian police have arrested three suspects, including a 26-year-old male Malaysian, a female bearing an Indonesian passport, and a female holding a Vietnamese passport, in its investigation.
Asked whether Kim's death would affect relations between China and the DPRK, Geng said that the two countries are friendly neighbors and have a tradition of friendly exchanges.
Business > Marketing > Online MarketingWhy an online merchant services account is a must for your business
The business world is constantly growing and expanding, and it’s important that your business grows and changes to match (or exceed) what your competitors are doing, and what your customers expect of you. As technology continues to become a more pervasive force in our lives, it is having a major impact on consumer expectations and how we meet them every day.
For example, consumers today require businesses to act faster to meet their needs than ever before, and it’s important that you operate everywhere that your consumers expect you to, including online. This is a common issue for many businesses, some of whom have never had an online presence before, and it creates many operational challenges as well. For example, how do you connect your offline business with your online business, in terms of inventory management (if necessary), reporting, and accounting? Also, how do you set up an online presence at all?
One of the things that you should do first is figure out what business services you need in order to operate properly in a new realm, or to stay competitive today. For example, a good credit card processing solution is important for online business, since credit and debit cards are one of the only real ways that customers can pay you for your goods or services online. Getting merchant services that hook up your offline payment infrastructure with your online payment system is important, so that you can get consolidated reporting for your business, which ultimately reduces the complexity of your business.
Companies like Leaders Merchant Services are interesting in that they make it dead simple for you to set up the technology and equipment that you need to process credit card transactions online, offline, and anywhere else that you might need to. Their focus is on providing the right technology and processing services to help you take credit card payments easily. This includes working with a wide range of businesses to help them find the right equipment for their needs, like a POS system for restaurant or a mobile credit card processing solution for service businesses. If you’re tired of using second-tier credit card processing solutions, then get in touch with them today via their website at www.leadersmerchantservices.
KHARTOUM, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The rebel Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM)northern sector on Tuesday announced an extension of the unilateral ceasefire at South Kordofan and Blue Nile areas for four month starting on Feb. 1.
The sector's leader Abdel Aziz al-Hilu said the move is a step towards opportunity for a peaceful solution to Sudan's crisis.
He directed all the movement's army units to commit to the extension of cessation of hostilities.
The Sudanese government and the SPLMnorthern sector have been extending the ceasefire, from time to time, at South Kordofan and Blue Nile areas.
The peace talks between the two sides regarding South Kordofan and Blue Nile are expected to resume on Feb. 3 in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
The African Union High-Level Implementation Panel, led by former South African President Thabo Mbeki, is supervising the negotiations.
The SPLMnorthern sector has recently been suffering from internal divisions, which, in July 2017, resulted in the removal of the movement's chairman Malik Agar who was replaced by his former deputy al-Hilu.
The sector has been fighting the Khartoum government at South Kordofan and Blue Nile areas since 2011.
Many rounds of peace talks have been held in Addis Ababa, but no peace deal is in sight regarding the two areas.
