NANCHANG Nike Air Huarache White , Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- A 21-year-old Chinese university student from eastern China's Jiangxi Province has twice donated her stem cells to save a patient in Belgium.


In February, Jiang Minlin, a student in Shangrao Normal Institute of Jiangxi, donated 227 millimeters of hemopoietic stem cells (HSCs) to a patient with a blood disease in Belgium, whose human leukocyte antigen (HLA) type matched Jiang's. On August 8, Jiang donated another 65 millimeters of lymphocyte cells to the same patient to help her fight rejection of the initial cells.


Both donations were made at the Air Force General Hospital in Beijing.


Jiang signed up to be a stem cell donor with the China Marrow Donor Program (CMDP) in 2014. Her stem cells was found to match the Belgian patient's in December last year.


The success rate of stem cells matches is extremely low -- somewhere between 0.01 percent and 0.25 percent .


"The donation staff told me that the recipient is about the age of my mother. I'm really happy to help save a life Nike Air Huarache ," she said.


There are over 2.2 million potential donors registered with the CMDP in China.


In 2006, a volunteer from Shanghai became China's first stem cell donor. Since then, China has performed HSC transplants for over 5,000 patients at home and more than 200 overseas.

Over the course of the Rio Olympics, Sina Sports covered 82 games via live gamecasts, sharing text and picture updates from on the ground in Rio. Sina was often able to share important match updates with users before they could even watch them on television. It was the Chinese women’s volleyball team that really drove record-breaking traffic to Sina Sports gamecasts. On August 19th, users flooded into the gamecast to follow the teamas it took on the Netherlands in the semifinal game. 14.46 million unique users used the gamecast, submitting over 500,000 comments, both the highest numbers that Sina had ever recorded. These records were broken only two days later, when fans once again came back to the gamecastto follow along as the squad became Olympic champions Air Huarache Green , defeating Serbia in the gold medal game. An astounding 50 million users logged in to the game cast, recording over 3 million comments.


Michael Phelps shared personal stories and took a look back on his record-breaking career during his interview with Sina on August 15th. Over 700,000 users watched the live interview, which began roughly at 6AM local Beijing time. The recorded interview reached over 50 million unique views in just a few days following the release.


Shortly after the Chinese women’s volleyball team took the gold medal, Lang Ping and star player, Zhu Ting Air Huarache Grey , joined Sina in the studio for a special interview. The interview has been played over 400 million times, receiving over 200 million unique views.


“Sina Olympic Team” members return home as champions


The “Sina Olympic Team” included athletes and teams signed as official partners of Sina throughout the Olympics. The team was made up of 27 national teams competing in 9 different sports, as well as famous Olympians including Michael Phelps, Lin Dan, Lang Ping, Tony Parker Air Huarache Red , and Draymond Green. Altogether, the Sina Olympic Team left Rio with 13 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals.
