WORLD No. 2 Rory McIlroy is among a host of stars who have confirmed their participation for the US$7 million BMW Masters to be held in Shanghai later this year.


McIlroy of Northern Ireland will be joined by world No. 3 Henrik Stenson of Sweden Nike Air Huarache All Red , fourth-ranked Justin Rose of England, and defending champion Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano of Spain at the Lake Malaren Golf Club from October 28 to November 2, organizers of the event announced yesterday.


A total of 78 players will tee off at the course located in Shanghai’s Baoshan District. The world’s top 60 pros are eligible for the event while the remaining spots will be kept aside for top finishers at the Race to Dubai on 26th October 2014.
