A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that the Baltimore Ravens have offered New Orleans Saints restricted free agent receiver Willie Snead a two-year Authentic Oliver Bjorkstrand Jersey , $10.4 million contract.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because neither the Saints nor Ravens have announced the move.

The Saints have five days to match the offer.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has attempted to upgrade a passing game that ranked 29th in the NFL last season. Newsome previously signed free agent receivers Michael Crabtree and John Brown.

Hampered by a three-game suspension and a hamstring injury, Snead was limited to eight catches for 92 yards last year.

In 2015, the former Ball State star had 69 receptions for 984 yards, and he caught 72 passes for 895 yards in 2016.

Baltimore's offer to Snead was first reported by ESPN.

Bills running back LeSean McCoy is loving what he’s seeing of rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

McCoy said at Buffalo’s minicamp that he’s been blown away by Allen’s skill and savvy as a young player.

How soon Allen will be on the field handing off and passing to McCoy in regular-season games remains to be seen. Allen will have an adjustment period in the NFL, and he may not beat out AJ McCarron for the starting job. But if McCoy is right, the Bills finally have their franchise quarterback.
