LONDON Marcelo Brozovic Jersey , Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday,with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.30 percent, or 21.97points, to close at 7,275.25 points.


Marks & Spencer Group, a British clothing and food retailer,soared 3.47 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips.International Consolidated Airlines Group and J Sainsbury increasedby 2.62 percent and 2.57 percent respectively.
