STOCKHOLM， Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Japanese scientist Yoshinori Ohsumi wins the 2016 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine， the committee announced Monday.


The Nobel assembly at the Karolinska Institute decided to award the 2016 prize to Yoshinori Ohsumi for his discoveries of mechanisms for autophagy.
