They will need to quit being lazy and hire more designers. In 2008, the game was updated. They can not even do all of Canifis in 1 go. It is really upsetting because I was expecting when they included Everlight--Which looks absolutely stunning--that it meant they would be updating Meiyerditch along with the surrounding areas also, but it became obvious in their live streams they have not touched Meiyerditch or even the Haunted Woods. How can it be that every advantage in OSRS Gold game has been upgraded in 2008 but now with a larger team and technologies, Jagex can not even swap out older resources for newer ones that they already have?
The Crafting Guild event/update is a good instance of how the transition between RS2 and RS3 assets, at a lot of times, is very evident and jarring.I was very excited because I thought they updated the Crafting Guild itself. Rather, they made it seem even more out of place.
That is the problem. I've advocated adding lots of empty land (e.g. forests, plains) between certain landmarks and cities for a while now. Back from the Gower Bros. days, Jagex utilized to really understand the importance of non content spaces to build a world. They are better at this than previously, but the legacy of these days when they just kept squeezing in content at precisely the same landmass has taken its toll.
Honestly I'd be down with Jagex focusing a whole 6 weeks - or year - in revamping the map, which would consist of making space between towns (fill them up with woods, roadways, swamps, deserts, based on the location, including resource areas), graphically updating E V E R Y outdated piece of content, which includes our dreadful RS 2007 Gold player models, which pale to contemporary NPCs. A weather system using a day/night cycle will be sweet.
