We all have distractions that we allow to creep into our life. Don't go cold turkey and cut them out altogether but do restrict yourself to certain times and an overall weekly allowance. Sure, you might go over the allowance occasionally but you'll still spend less time on the distraction than you did before. You can tighten your allowance over time if you need to.
Schedule your time You've probably got a diary of some sort - maybe a "real" one, more likely an electronic one. Use it more often. Start to schedule your time and make appointments with yourself. And, of course, keep those appointments! There's no point in blocking off an hour for an important project and then goofing off for most of it. Again, you'll probably mess up in the initial stages but rather than use that as an excuse that "it's not working", instead vow to improve next time. And the time after that!
