Hello,
Google Wifi is a router, not a modem. Your primary Wifi point needs to be connected to a modem with an Ethernet cable (provided). Additional Wifi points are wireless; they only need to be connected to a power outlet (although they can be connected to each other via Ethernet, if you prefer).
