Trial subscription of McAfee Mobile Security activated, instead of a Paid subscription.
Problem- You might be prompted to upgrade to a paid version of McAfee Mobile Security on your Android device, even though you think you have already upgraded. This prompting can happen if you have mistakenly activated a trial subscription for McAfee Mobile Security instead of a paid subscription. Follow the steps in the Solution below, to revert to a paid subscription. follow these steps to revert to a paid subscription: NOTE: These steps might vary, depending on your Android device.
Step 1: Reset McAfee Mobile Security -Open the Android Settings app. -Select Apps or Applications (depending on your device). -Select McAfee Mobile Security. -Scroll down to Launch by default, and tap Clear data (or Clear defaults depending on your device).
Step 2: Resend the subscription link -In your web browser, go to www.mcafee.com/activate. -Tap My Account, Sign In. -Type your email address and password, and then tap Log In. -Tap My Account, Subscriptions. -Tap Add Device, and then select the mobile device icon. -Tap Send Link, select the device type and the subscription that you want to install, and then tap Next. -Select Text it, or Email it, depending on how you want to receive the activation code. -Type the email address or phone number, then select Text me, or Send email. -Wait to receive an activation code.
Step 3: Activate McAfee Mobile Security -Open McAfee security on your device. -Tap the User icon at the top right of the screen, and then tap Got an activation code. -Type the activation code you received, and wait for activation to complete. -When you are prompted to create a six-digit PIN, type a PIN of your choice and tap OK. -Tap the orange circle at the top right of the screen. -Tap Set your security question, and then type the six-digit PIN that you created. -Select two questions, provide a relevant answer for each, then tap Save. -Tap Activate Uninstall Protection, tap Mcafee activate, and then tap Finish.
