Industry insiders think that Hong Kong’s connection to the national high-speed railway network will boost its economy and promote people-to-people exchanges with the Chinese mainland.
It will take about 14 minutes to travel the 26 kilometers between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Transit passengers are expected to reach Beijing in nine hours and Shanghai in eight hours after Hong Kong joins the national transport network.
Frank Chan Fan Brandon Scherff Womens Jersey , director of Hong Kong’s housing and transport bureau, said the 26-kilometer rail will play an important role in pushing forward Hong Kong’s medium- and long-term prosperity and consolidate its strategic position as a regional transport pivot.
The opening of the rail line will also bring enormous economic and social benefits to Hong Kong such as saving travel time and cost, strengthening trade cooperation, culture and human resources, Chan added.
According to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, the high-speed railway will save an estimated 39 million travel hours per year in 50 years of operation.
David Fong Man-hung, Chairman of a think-tank, the Hong Kong Strategy, said high-speed railway has brought tremendous changes to the Chinese mainland. “Hong Kong should catch up with the country by joining the national high-speed network.”
Hong Kong will take the opportunity offered by the high-speed railway to participate in the construction of the Belt and Road and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said Terence Tai-Leung Chong, an associate professor at the Institute of Global Economics and Finance with the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Currently, about 90 million visits from Hong Kong to the mainland take place each year, and the number is likely to increase by over 10 percent annually, David Fong Man-hung said. The railway will further boost Hong Kong’s tourism, local industry insiders said.
MADRID, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The first mountain stage of the Vuelta de Espana cycling race on Friday produced the expected big changes on the leadership board as Alejandro Valverde took both the stage and the overall leader's red jersey.
The 167 kilometers between Benalmadena and La Zubia ended on the top of a first category climb and the steep gradient and the high temperatures reduced the peloton to a select group that is destined to battle it out for the overall classification.
In the last kilometers the group was reduced to Alejandro Valverde and his Movistar team-mate Nairo Quintana, along with Chris Froome (Sky), Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) and Alberto Contador (Saxo Bank-Tinkoff).
Inside the last kilometer Rodriguez launched his attack and was closely marked by Froome and Contador, who acquitted himself much better than expected in the wake of his recent broken leg.
As Quintana, the winner of the Giro de Italia, struggled to keep up, Valverde, who is an expert in uphill sprints, was able to overtake Rodriguez, whose desire to win the stage, cost him in the final meters. Valverde crossed the line first with Froome third and Contador in third.
Michael Matthews (orica green Edge) who had led the race finished down the field.
Contador had assured he was not in the Vuelta for the overall classification, but his performance today shows that he is in with a chance, while Froome should be stronger that Valverde in the big mountain stages that lie ahead, although Valverde's Movistar team is by far the strongest in the race.
Firday's stage covers 169 kilometers between Alhendin and Alcaudete and it will once again be hot, so the riders will be grateful that the biggest challenge is a second category climb which shouldn't produce changes in the overall classification.
Today’s families are more mobile than they had been ever before. People aren’t looking to stay in a single place for prolonged periods owing to many reasons like job transfers, experiencing the fun of staying in an entirely new place or to stay closer to their family members. Whatever is the reason for families to move on; this exercise comes along with a price tag that they cannot ignore. And in most cases the services have to be taken of long distance moving companies as they are known to make relocation tasks a lot easier.
The farther your family is willing to relocate higher will be the costs incurred by you. Also, longer the distances are; higher will be the complexities involved in long distance moving tasks. Though it is really easy to outsource these jobs to other companies, it does not necessary mean you’re stresses are greatly reduced. Proper planning will not only ensure your stresses are lessened but it will help create positive and happy memories when you look back at the entire exercise after it is long been over.
Now, let us consider the case of a family that intends to move from Tennessee to California. There are different options ahead of them to relocate. However, if their objective is to prevent their baby from being subjected to a long distance travel then might as well consider an option. The idea would be to hire a commercial long distance moving company to carry over their household items, use their car to move smaller items and dogs and use the plane to move mother, father and the child. Let us consider the case of another family that wished to move to another location two states away. This family used their car to transport their family members and their pets and later used a commercial mover to transport all their belongings. Another family that had very little possessions with them loaded up all their belongings and drove to another place in a car.
