SB Nation’s partners over at Odds Shark are sponsoring my entry again. The contest requires selecting 5 games each week and picking them against the spread. I finished 2-2-1 in Week 6, which brings me to 13-10-1 for the season. Overall for last week I scuffled along at 8-6-1.The San Francisco 49ers are a 9.5 point underdog on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. Some sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark are offering 10.5 points, but for the most part it’s 9.5 — including at the SuperContest. If the line had been 10 or higher I might have been tempted by the 49ers, but without getting that needed hook, I’m staying away from this one. The 49ers are scuffling, but Green Bay has not been overly impressive this season. I could see a close game, I could see a Packers blowout — it’s a wide open one and I’m just not comfortable picking either way.Here are my five SuperContest picks for Week 6.VIKINGS (-10) over CardinalsWASHINGTON (-1) over PanthersBuccaneers (+3.5) over FALCONSBRONCOS (+6.5) over RamsTITANS (+2.5) over RavensI don’t normally like taking a double digit favorite Womens Mike McGlinchey Jersey , but after last week’s game, I think it is reasonable to bet against Arizona in Minnesota. If the 49ers don’t turn the ball over five times, I think they probably win that game by double digits. Kirk Cousins is a much better quarterback than C.J. Beathard, he’s got some big-time weapons in the passing game, and he’s backed by a stout Vikings defense. The Cardinals could surprise them, particularly with Minnesota coming off a close road win over the Eagles, but I really think this is a game the Vikings win going away.I stuck with home teams for the most part. The one road team is the Bucs in the return of Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback. He’s had success against Atlanta Authentic K'Waun Williams Jersey , and if O.J. Howard plays, they could do some damage against a banged up Falcons defense. The Bucs are a tough team to figure out given the transition at quarterback, but I like them here.The Rams are on a roll, but if Denver is going to keep this close, this is the ideal situation. The Broncos have played well at home, including nearly upsetting the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago. Additionally, ineffectiveness at times from Ahkello Witherspoon and Jimmie Ward have resulted in some changes.This past weekend, the 49ers rotated Greg Mabin into the cornerback position in the second half. He played 29 snaps, and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said on Thursday that will continue this week. He thought it showed up in the game tape, and even though Mabin gave one up, Saleh it was well contested.One big problem the defense has had is the turnover in trying to figure out how fits where. Each player always has their own assignment to handle, but there is a certain chemistry that is critical for a defense to gel into a cohesive dominant unit. Each player needs to step up when it come to the team’s tackling issues, but the overall defensive performance could very well come together once they can get a clear starting lineup and rotation sorted out.
