hoping his injured right hand feels better.Unfortunately for the Tennessee Titans quarterback Youth Kevin Byard Jersey , the weakness is still there, along with numbness and tingling in two fingers. That's why Mariota was limited Wednesday at practice for the Titans, even as he cut up a glove to cover those two fingers hoping to give himself a better grip of the football."I think it's close, but again we're going to just take it one day at a time," Mariota said.Mariota hurt the elbow on his throwing arm in the season opener, a 27-20 loss in Miami. He was intercepted twice after the injury, and Mariota still finds himself dealing with the expected injury that affects both the velocity with which he throws and the spin he can put on the ball."Honestly, it is hard," Mariota said. "The way that they explained it to me is like when you strum like a guitar string. When that string settles down, that's kind of similar to how my nerve is. My nerve's kind of been strummed, and it's going to take its time to settle down."A week ago, both Vrabel and Mariota said they thought the quarterback would be able to play in the Titans' home opener against Houston last weekend. But the numbness and tingling in Mariota's right Youth Marcus Mariota Jersey , throwing hand didn't ease enough late in the week.So coaches added some wildcat to the offense with Derrick Henry, and backup Blaine Gabbert got the 46th start of his NFL career with his fourth different team. Gabbert earned a game ball throwing for 117 yards with a touchdown and no turnovers in a 20-17 win over Houston.Mariota hasn't missed consecutive games since his rookie season when separate knee sprains cost him two games apiece. With Mariota limited Wednesday, the Titans (1-1) split the work Wednesday at practice as they prepare to visit AFC South rival Jacksonville (2-0)."That's all you can do, is make sure to get guys ready that could play in the game for anything that may come up," Vrabel said. "Then, have to make a decision that you know is in the best interest of the team later in the week."Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone said the Jaguars are preparing to see both Mariota and Gabbert. Mariota beat the Jaguars twice last season , and Gabbert also notched a win against the team that drafted him at No. 10 overall in the 2011 draft. Gabbert's second start for Arizona came Nov. 26, and he led the Cardinals to a win over the Jaguars throwing for 241 yards with two touchdowns and only one interception."We just make sure that we work on both quarterbacks," Marrone said. "Both quarterbacks have done well versus us. We know it's going to be a challenge. Gabbert beat us last year when he was in Arizona, so they have a lot of respect for both of those guys."Whoever starts at quarterback should be helped by the return of two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan and possibly even right tackle Jack Conklin.Lewan suffered a concussion in the season opener in Miami, and Conklin tore his left ACL in January. Both were limited Wednesday, and Vrabel said Lewan still has to be cleared by an outside doctor Youth Derrick Henry Jersey , which they hope happens Thursday. Backup tackle Dennis Kelly, who replaced Conklin during the opener, was not at the facility after being released from the hospital."That would be great to get as many guys back as we possibly could," Vrabel said.Notes: RB Derrick Henry (back) was limited in practice Wednesday as well, along with TE Luke Stocker (calf). S Kendrick Lewis (foot), who missed the first two games, was limited in his return.Follow Teresa M. Walker at teresamwalkerNotes from Mike Vrabel’s Monday press conference Mike Vrabel addressed the media today after a let down loss in Buffalo. Some of the main themes of his message were consistency, effort, and focus. As usual, the coach refused to point the blame at any individual players, saying that the only two guys that the Titans didn’t need more from against the Bills were Ryan Succop and Brett Kern. It sounded like Vrabel was disappointed in the effort from the defense on the Josh Allen touchdown run. There appeared to be a lack of intensity from some players in pursuit of the Bills quarterback on that play and that’s unacceptable. As Vrabel said, “they can beat us http://www.authenticstennesseetitans.com/cheap-ryan-succop-jersey , but they can’t outwork us.” Vrabel was quick to take responsibility for the delay of game penalty that pushed a 3rd and 3 to a 3rd and 8 during a Titans drive on the edge of field goal range. He said that he thought they were going to get it off and didn’t want to use a timeout if he didn’t have to. The big injury question coming out of the Bills game was with regards to Taylor Lewan who left early with a foot injury. He is having an MRI today to see what exactly is going on with the injured foot. It’s something that Lewan said he’s dealt with in the past. Dennis Kelly has a chance to be available this week according to Vrabel. He said that they worked him out before the game on Sunday and the biggest hurdle remaining is Kelly feeling comfortable that he’s ready to play. If Lewan’s injury is going to keep him out for any length of time, Kelly’s availability will be critical for the offense.Vrabel was asked about his feelings about the wide receiver depth and simply responded that he and Jon Robinson will continue to evaluate the roster at all positions, including receiver. I know the clamoring for Dez Bryant is going to ramp back up after Nick Williams let a potential win slip right through his arms in Buffalo, but do we really think adding the receiver who led the NFL in drops in 2017 to this roster is going to fix the drop issue? Vrabel praised Jonnu Smith’s work in pass protection, saying that it was much better this week than it was against the Eagles. Regarding his lack of targets, he said that he needs to continue to build trust with Marcus Mariota. The Titans coach had a conversation with Rashaan Evans about the tweet regarding inside linebacker not being his primary position. Vrabel said that Evans can’t have it both ways with regards to social media and has to be consistent with his approach regardless of whether the team wins or loses. Regarding his play in the game, he said that he thought Evans had some good moments, but also a couple missed tackles that he would like to have back. Specifically one where he tried to crush LeSean McCoy instead of just squaring him up and making the tackle. One thing that really struck me from the press conference was Vrabel’s willingness to admit that he doesn’t know everything regarding quarterback and running back play specifically. He admits that he’s never played those positions and therefore he can only make suggestions and lean on others who have. It’s refreshing to hear a coach admit to not being an all-knowing expert on all things football.
