The SLPL last year was held on the similar lines of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the participation of several overseas cricket stars.


West Indies cricketing legend Brian Lara was at hand for the launch of last year's event with much pomp and pageantry.


The SLPL last year saw all leading international and domestic cricketers from Sri Lanka joining hands with talented young players in Sri Lanka.
