KUALA LUMPUR Ken Boyer Jersey , Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's state investment fund Khazanah Nasional said Friday that it has made a total of 15 investments worth approximately 410 million U.S. dollar in the United States, principally in the technology sector.


In a statement, the state fund said its investments in the United States represent 1.3 percent of its portfolio realizable asset value of 145.3 billion ringgit as of Dec. 31, 2016.


"In line with our mandate as a strategic investment fund that creates long-term value for Malaysia via multiple sectors and geographies, Khazanah will continue to explore investment opportunities in the United States Enos Slaughter Jersey , focusing primarily on the innovation and technology sector," it added.


The state fund also noted that it had opened Khazanah Americas Incorporated in San Francisco in 2013, with a focus on the innovation and technology sector.


"This was in line with (our) policy to progressively diversify its investment portfolio overseas," it said.


The San Francisco office is the third of Khazanah's five foreign offices and the others are in Beijing, Mumbai Roger Maris Jersey , Istanbul and London.


Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said during his recent visit to the United States that Khazanah and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) plan to expand investments in the United States, triggering criticism by oppositions at home.

The Iraqi army, paramilitary Hashd Shaabi forces and the border guards force advanced in the vast desert area to free the industrial village of Akashat and to clear the road to the village and the nearby border areas, which is part of Iraq's western province of Anbar, Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah from the Iraqi Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a brief statement.


Akashat is located in northwest of the city of Rutba Red Schoendienst Jersey , some 370 km west of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. It has a population of around 5,000 and was built as an industrial village in 1985, attached to the local phosphate quarry and administered by the ministry of industry. The phosphate production was seriously disrupted by the UN sanctions after 1991 and the 2003 war. It is currently stopped from working by the presence of IS group.


The Iraqi forces announced the frequency of a radio to broadcast the news and instructions to the residents of the towns and villages in the area, JOC said in another statement.
